The dream is often to break into the Hollywood scene as an actor, but there are certainly other ways to do it. A-listers have support structures thousands of people deep, and you can be in that line anywhere you want, especially if you have a little bit of entrepreneurial spirit behind you, in order to target your creative efforts and passions toward a successful conclusion. Think about combining the drive you have inside a few other perspective’s, just to jumpstart the brainstorming process.

Writing is everywhere, and not just as in penning the perfect Hollywood script and selling it for a billion dollars. There is advertising writing, promotional writing, entertainment writing, reviewing, proposing, and titling. Add to that, there are a ton of jobs editing that content after it’s written. Breaking into the Hollywood scene via writing is very plausible, with the right education and the right angle. If you want to approach it as an entrepreneur, find a need that is out there and create a business to fulfill it. Satisfy some aspect of the Hollywood culture that needs to be fulfilled, and do it in a way that no one else has thought of before.
Small Business Persuasions
There are tons of stores and shops in and around Hollywood. By getting a business loan for your concept, you can potentially rent a brick-and-mortar structure in the geographical region you want to be a part of. Proximity is a big part of the game, so it doesn’t really matter what you’re doing in this regard; it simple matters where you are doing it. There are lots of small business associations that will help you with this initial setup as well, so long as you have a plausible idea in the first place. You’ll have to get your learn on about business plans, but that in itself is quite a fascinating process.
Film Industry Support
One way to break into Hollywood is by, wait for it, working on Hollywood projects! These could be movies, TV series, or commercials, but there are tons of work opportunities for film industry support. Technical help with the filming process, composition work for audio, and administrative work are all over the place. It may not be the most glamorous part of the lifestyle, but it is dynamic and very rewarding for those who make the effort.
Hollywood is not just what you see in magazines and hear about in the news. In fact, that is probably just a tiny percentage of the real lifestyle. To get down in the trenches and see what it is all about, you just have to approach it with a little creative spirit to get your foot in the door.
